Dalkey ( DAW-kee; Irish: Deilginis, meaning “thorn island”) is an affluent suburb of Dublin, and a seaside resort southeast of the city, and the town of Dún Laoghaire, in the county of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown in the traditional County Dublin, Ireland.
